Feb. 22, 2006 - Scientology Drug Free Ambassadors
Cyrus
Brooks is the Coordinator for the Drug Free Ambassadors of
Australia. He is also a spokesperson for the Church of
Scientology of Australia. He's committed to making a difference for kids, but getting the truth about drugs into their hands. Here is what he said in a recent post on his Drug Free Ambassadors blog
I've run a radio show for 2 years in Bankstown as the Drug Free Ambassadors, an initiative of the Church of Scientology,
to combat this problem as well as holding events at fairs, festivals,
shopping centres and so forth, throughout the area. Drug Free
Ambassadors Australia Incorporated is now its own entity and the
President, Peter Mousiol, of Canterbury and other volunteer staff are
committed towards helping Australia become drug free. It's a star-high
goal, but worthy and starts with educating youth (and adults too), to
the truth, and the idea that drug-free can be more fun, and all the
emotions that one could feel while on drugs are available to you
without them too. One can learn to access them. Humanitarian and Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard noted wisely: "One
has a choice between being dead with drugs or being alive without them.
Drugs rob life of the sensations and joys which are the only reasons
for living anyhow. For more information of what Scientology churches are doing to combat the drug problem, visit the Scientology Drug Salvage web site.
