You could not agree with your physician statements when he declared you a diabetes patient. Such a dismissal position is very normal, relying the knowledge you have about Diabetes. Rage and depression may have trapped you but you had to face the fact. The problem basically starts when you refuse to call yourself diabetic & do not take care of yourself. Though dismissal could prevent you from being discouraged or overwhelmed but then it may not allow you to take care of yourself nicely & may prove unsafe for your health. Refusal may prevent you from taking care of your insulin and you may finish up no tests, not following your meal plan, not working out, don't are about your feet, drinking and/or smoking & skipping appointments with your Diabetes Team. The Diabetes education may help you cope with refusal, and if you meet other present people suffering from the Diabetes, or go to the The Diabetes Forum, you will commence accepting the thought of taking care of your diabetics, simply like various people carry out. You would much better look after yourself and won't even feel discouraged. Jotting down your goals and care plan may help. Attempt to comprehend why every treatment part is major.
