Human Body Action to Control High Blood Pressure!!Jun. 22, 2006

The body has actions to alter or check BP and the flow of blood. Particular sensors found in the lining of the heart and the arteries may feel the blood pressure. Baroreceptors is the name bestowed to these special sensors. The Baroreceptors sense Blood Pressure & then send out signals to the kidneys, the arterioles, the heart and the veins which cause these organs to bring in modifications that decrease or increase BP. There are several techniques in which blood pressure can be regulated:

Increased heart speed can lead to the more rapid shrinking of the heart & give out more blood. It ultimately cause hypertension due to high flow of blood into the arteries because of these responses.

The veins can contract and expand. When veins enlarge, more blood can get stored in the veins & less amount of blood returns to the heart for pumping into the arteries. Finally blood pressure gets lower as heart pumps less amount of blood. On the other hand, When the veins contract, less blood is collected in the veins, more amount of blood returns to Heart for pumping into the arteries, and, therefore, the heart pumps more amount of blood & BP is higher.

The arterioles can expand and narrow. Expanded arterioles create lower defense to the flow of blood and diminish BP whereas narrowed arterioles form more check & raise blood pressure.

By decreasing or increasing the amount of urine even kidney can inform you about the alterations in your BP. Urine is basically water that is eliminated of blood so that if the kidney makes further urine amount, the amount (volume) of blood that pumps up the veins and the arteries reduces, & this lessens BP.
