"It will be important to play a good team game against Villarreal. They're a difficult side to face and they have a lot of good players. They play very good football, so we will see what happens but we know that the best Inter is needed to win."
Speaking at the pre-match UEFA news conference, Javier Zanetti underlined: "Inter, as always, will try to impose their game. This is our characteristic. My position on the pitch? There are no problems. The coach can always count on me one hundred percent."
Looking back to the Serie A defeat at Parma, the Inter captain continued: "That match left us very bitter inside because the team didn't deserve to lose. Unfortunately, after going behind we didn't manage to score despite the many chances created. But this is football and you also have to accept these defeats."
Zanetti also spoke about the form of his team-mate Adriano. "He has never been missing the affection of the team and the fans," he said. "It's a strange period for him, but all a striker needs to do to break free is score a goal. Adri just has to do his best to get through this situation, he will soon return to being important for Inter." |
