'Net connects small donors with entrepreneurs in poor countries

Thanks to the Internet, small donors and lenders are finding it easier help entrepreneurs in poor countries, the BBC reports. The Web-based group Global Giving enables private donors to match up with grassroots projects around the world, ranging from financing goats for a herder in Uganda to helping an Indian seamstress open a shop. A similar site is called Kiva.
