Five years ago, at age 35, I became a commuter by bike, train, bus, and my own two feet. It's not something I ever planned to do, and but I'm very happy that I live this way now. This is my own personal testimonial about why this change has been so great, why I hope others will embrace it, and how I hope bike and mass transit advocacy groups, particularly those in the USA, will try to do a much better job of reaching people my age and older.
