The Organizers' Collaborative is holding its 7th annual Grassroots Use of Technology Conference on Saturday, June 17, 2006, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, at the University of Massachusetts in Boston (USA). It is being jointly hosted with the national Community Technology Vista (CTC Vista) project. This year's event will feature a keynote presentation by citizenactionteam.org on how they used the Internet to organize Hurricane Katrina relief. It also features 15 different workshops, on topics such as online fundraising, email delivery, web content management, databases, GIS, tech planning, and online activism. An expected 250 people are expected to attend and share ideas, resources, and experience on making grassroots groups stronger through the use of technology. If you attend and blog about your experience, please let me know. It will be particularly appreciated if you could share info about how volunteers are represented at the conference.
