Wikimania 2006, the second annual international Wikimedia Foundation conference, will be held August 4–6 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, within the Harvard Law School campus. Wikimania will bring together members of the various Wikimedia projects (including Wikipedia) in order to exchange ideas, build relationships, and report on research and project efforts. It will also be an opportunity to share ideas about free and open source software, free knowledge initiatives, and wiki projects worldwide. There are several onsite volunteering opportunities to support this event. (no, I won't be attending -- but I am an occassional Wikipedia contributor, and wanted to pass this info on for those of you in the greater "Bahston" area).
