Like thousands -- millions -- of other people, if I can't use your web site, your live cast, your streaming audio, your online whatever, because you've configured such to be accessible only to a particular version of software, I'm not going to upgrade, because I cannot afford it; instead, I'm going to move on to one of your competitors who has chosen to be fully accessible, regardless of what version of software I'm using. Don't limit your site's accessibility to its web pages: make your short video clips, audio files, live casts, and other features on your web site accessible by users of older technology. There is no good reason not to! To do otherwise limits the number of people you reach, and drives those who cannot use your online tools to other. Make your web site accessible to everyone.
