How many names are there for online volunteering? I'm doing my best to keep up. Here's what I have compiled so far:- online volunteering / online volunteers
- virtual volunteering / virtual volunteers
- e-volunteering / e-volunteers
- cyber volunteering / cyber volunteers
- televolunteering / televolunteers
(you can substitute the word "tutoring" or "mentoring" for all of the above as well, as these terms are also used for some online volunteers)
- online advocacy / online advocates
- e-advocacy /e-advocates
- distributed engagement (for group online volunteering projects)
- virtual teams (for group online volunteering projects, but only if the teams are made up of unpaid, rather than paid, staff)
