I'm off to Afghanistan at the end of February 2007, to serve as Communication and Reporting Advisor for the United Nation's National Area-Based Development Programme (NABDP), part of UNDP. I'll be in this role for several months. I'm very happy to be returning to my former employer, UNDP, but I'm ecstatic to have the opportunity to work in a country in which I have been interested since the 1990s. I have more details about this assignment here. I'll maintain my monthly email newsletter, Tech4Impact, my blog focused on youth volunteerism on MySpace, and my regular email address. I will also continue to post to my blog (that you are reading now), and will add to the mix updates about my work in Afghanistan that I think might be of interest to colleagues, as well to promote the excellent work of UNDP-NABDP. If you are working in Afghanistan, please contact me; I'm interested in connecting with anyone and everyone working in Afghanistan regarding rebuilding efforts.
