Today, I presented live via iVisit, a free online video tool, from here in my home in Germany for a local volunteer management association in Australia, coordinated by Andy Fryer. My presentation was regarding online volunteering. You can see the screen shots from the presentation (of the audience, not of me), which represent what I saw via the camera they set up, to give you an idea of how you could set up a room for such an event. It was helpful that I could see most of the participants in the background, and also the person asking a question at the bottom of the screen, all at the same time. I also have complete information on how I can present live, online, for your organization. Andy said afterwards: "The feedback was amazing and those present were blown away by:a) the technology
b) the fact that it is so accessible and inexpensive and
c) Jayne (of course)"
I'm not telling you this to promote me as much as I hope you will think about how you, too, can use simple tools you probably already have on your computer to beam in a person remotely for a workshop or presentation. More details here.
