my grandmother is cooler than your grandmother

My home town paper, The Gleaner, (Henderson, Kentucky) recently had a story about a group of very active seniors who are regularly playing the Wii -- including my grandmother (the oldest of the group at 92). They are so into it after just a few days that they are already looking for competition at other senior apartment blocks -- they want them to form Wii teams and participate in tournaments.

The article also says "The participants have created their own individual Wii characters, including one with thickly-painted dark blue eye shadow and a beauty mark. She's affectionately referred to as the 'floozy.'" I've checked -- it's not my grandmother.

There have been a lot of articles in the last year about what happens when a Wii system is introduced to a senior home -- here's yet another example, more closer to home. I think they should be added to every senior center.
