Thanks to everyone who attended the free, live webinar I did yesterday for TechSoup on how to effectively involve volunteers in computer and Internet related tasks at your organization. The webinar -- where attendees saw a slide presentation and heard my voice going through the slides -- focused on ways nonprofit organizations identify such tech-related assignments, ways support volunteers in these assignments, and, ofcourse, methods to recruit and screen such volunteers. Participants also asked questions via text, which I did my best to answer in the short time frame.

Missed it? You can see the slide presentation and hear the audio of the hour-long presentation at this archive site. The resources section leads to much more in-depth information.

If you have questions regarding involving IT volunteers, including requests for feedback about a very specific situation you are facing, please post them to the TechSoup community discussion regarding Volunteers and Technology. The text-based discussion is ongoing!
