The body has mechanisms to alter or check blood pressure and the blood flow.
There are particular sensors in the lining of the heart and the arteries that
can feel blood pressure. Baroreceptors is the name given to these sensors.
Baroreceptors can feel Blood Pressure and later send indications to the heart,
the arterioles, the veins, and the kidneys that cause them to bring in changes
that lower or increase BP.
There are several techniques in which BP can be checked:
Increased heart speed may lead to the more rapid contraction of the heart and
ejects more blood. It eventually leads to high blood pressure due to high blood
flow into the arteries because of these responses.
The veins may expand and narrow. At the time of expansion of veins just small
quantity of blood reach to the heart as more of it get collected in the veins.
With that, the heart give out less amount of blood, and blood pressure is lower.
But, When veins contract, less amount of blood get reserved into veins, most of
the amount of blood returns to Heart in order to pump in arteries, and, hence,
heart pumps more amount of blood and blood pressure is
greater.
The arterioles could expand and narrow. Resistance to the blood flow lowers
with arterioles enlargement & so cause low BP, likewise resistance to the
flow of blood shoots up with arterioles contraction & thus high blood
pressure.
The kidney may respond to modifications in BP by inflating or lowering the
amount of urine that is created. The urine is basically amount of water which is
taken out of blood so that when the kidney creates more urine amount, volume of
blood which fills the arteries and veins lessens, and this lessens BP.
