| What is High Blood Pressure?
Extreme
blood pressure is mount in force enforced by flowing blood on
the present artery walls as a normal reaction to strain or physical
activity. But, if this pressure remains stably high (high blood
pressure as it is known), it can exhaust your arteries and heart. High
blood pressure results in heart attacks and strokes.
Blood Pressure Reading
Physicians record blood pressure as two values, the systolic
(the blood pressure when it passes the artery from the heart) and the
diastolic (the pressure when the heart ventricles repose betwixt
beats). Millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) is the measuring unit of blood
pressure.
Above average Blood Pressure is explained in an adult as a blood pressure
higher or equal to 140 mm Hg systolic pressure, or greater than or
equal to 90 mm Hg diastolic pressure. However, a blood pressure reading
greater than 140/90 determines hypertension and is observed strange at
any age.
