Practicing to Live Along With Your Wheelchair PreferencesMar. 3, 2006
Distinct individuals demand wheelchairs for different purposes. They can be a short duration assistance for improving or they may be long time primary sources of movement. Which different processes you use them may vary but one thing is for sure, the current new wheelchair is a modish marvel in design in comparison to 100 years ago.

The power and the manual wheelchair are the two types of wheelchairs. Each has limitations & merits. The manual wheel chair is categorised into 2 categories, the folding frame and the rigid frame. The folding wheelchair can be folded together (wheel against wheel) for very easy compact carrying.

But the folding frame manual wheelchairs are too heavy. In the rigid frame wheelchair there are no scissor arms, which make the folding frame wheelchair heavier and therefore rigid frame is light in weight. Rigid frames wheelchairs are sometimes mentioned as sport wheelchairs.

There are powered wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs to make our choice. The benefits of each type of wheelchair are differentiated with disadvantages. The current manual wheelchair gives the user a bodily workout in arm exercise. The power wheel chair gives you a twenty mile limit in easy movement. However the operating gives no labor at all.
