What is High Blood Pressure?

How to Read Blood Pressure?

Doctors measure blood pressure in two values, the systolic (the blood pressure when it enters the artery from the heart) and the diastolic (the pressure when the heart ventricles repose between beats). Medical practitioners read it in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg).

Above normal Blood Pressure could be defined in an adult as the blood pressure greater than or equal to 140 mm Hg systolic pressure, or higher or equable to 90 mm Hg diastolic pressure. Nevertheless, a blood pressure reading above 140/90 shows hypertension and is treated strange at any age.
