We have by now, looked at the survival profits of the fight-or-flight response, and also the problems this convinced for our performance in work-related situations. We have even witnessed the terrible "exhausion" affect of exposure to extended stress. These aftermaths can also affect your well being - either with direct biological damage to your body, or with devastating behavioral effects.

The behavioral effects of an over-stressed lifestyle are easy to interpret. When suffering from The Stress, certain people are more likely to drink alcohol massively or smoke, as a way of getting instantaneous synthetic respite from the stress.

Heavy workload does not let people to take care of their food and health nicely. They can have no sleep, or will worry so much that they sleep like anything. Few of them can become so much busy in their job & undergoing daily stresses that they don't take a single second to see the physician or dental expert whenever they wish to. All of these are potential to hurt health.

The Stress & heart illness are related!!.
Manytimes the heart malady are the ultimate result of stress. If the stress is strong, & the hormones of stress are not 'spent' by physical activity, our increased rate of heart and the excessive BP put tension on the arteries and can hurt these organs. As the human body cures this harm, the walls of arteries get scarred & freeze, which can decrease the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.
